SYNOPSIS
Naima lives with her son Ahmed in a Moroccan bidonville. One day, she receives a rehousing notice: they only have a week to leave. The whole community of the bidonville is up in arms. The school Ahmed attends will also be demolished, and she will have to enrol him somewhere else. But the law is relentless: only the father can sign the transfer, and he abandoned them many years ago…

Biography
Sonia Terrabis a Moroccan journalist, writer, activist and documentary maker. After several documentaries, such as Shakespeare in Casablanca (2016) and L7sla – The Dead End (2019), Sonia is making her fiction debut with Paradise Garden (2025).
