MARRAKECHsFF Best Of Concludes Its Traveling Journey with a Special Screening in Paris

Founded in 2020, the Marrakech Short Film Festival (MARRAKECHsFF) is an international platform dedicated to short films, working to build bridges between cinematic landscapes, audiences, and emerging generations of talent. Recognized for its public-space screenings and its commitment to film circulation, the festival continues its mission of expanding the reach of short cinema in Morocco and beyond borders. The 6th edition of MARRAKECHsFF will take place from September 25–30, 2026, in Marrakech.
Following a journey rich in encounters, exchanges, and celebrations around short cinema, the MARRAKECHsFF Best Of program now concludes a new chapter of its cultural circulation initiative launched by the Marrakech Short Film Festival.
Conceived as an extension of the festival beyond its official dates, MARRAKECHsFF Best Of has, for several years, pursued an essential mission: promoting short films, supporting their circulation both in Morocco and internationally, and creating new spaces where films, filmmakers, and audiences can meet.
This journey began in Marrakech before continuing across multiple territories—from Palestine to Jordan, through Italy, Casablanca, and other spaces of cultural dialogue—gradually building a true map of cinematic encounters around the short film format.
To conclude this journey, the Marrakech Short Film Festival invites audiences on June 5 at 7:00 PM in Paris, in collaboration with the Cinéma Grand Action, one of the French capital’s most iconic historic cinemas.
This exceptional evening will take place in the presence of the festival team and feature a selection of short films from previous editions:
– Beneath a Mother’s Feet by Elias Suhail — recipient of the Nirsine Adam Behja Performance Award
– Milk Brothers by Kenza Tazi — recipient of the Nakhil Best Film Award
– Lady of the Graves by Mohamed Allali — Jury Special Mention
– The Crawling Birds by Karim Taj — recipient of the Low Budget Film Program Award
The program will also feature a special focus on films produced and supported by the Marrakech Short Film Festival, highlighting its ongoing commitment to nurturing and accompanying emerging cinematic voices.
Through this final Paris stop, MARRAKECHsFF reaffirms its desire to make films travel, amplify their visibility, and build lasting bridges between territories, imaginaries, and audiences.
