SYNOPSIS
Clémentine Zeregbe Goli is the only female truck driver among fifteen hundred men in her region. Since 2014, she has been tenaciously navigating a male-dominated world. The film follows her along Côte d’Ivoire’s rough roads, between demanding work, family life, scarce resources and social injustice. Along the way, Clémentine reflects on her life and that of those around her, sharing her motivations and her physical and emotional struggles — as well as the pleasure she finds in her work. An ordinary woman on an extraordinary path, she moves forward with hope.

Biography
Mireille Niyonsaba is a Burundian filmmaker who graduated in 2017 with a Master's in documentary filmmaking from Gaston Berger University in Saint-Louis, Senegal. In 2021 she directed Trucking in Côte d'Ivoire for Al Jazeera's Africa Direct collection. Her earlier documentary Trésor Tissé (Senegal, 2017) was selected and awarded at several international festivals, and the same year she co-directed Et Notre Afrique Sur Scène. Introduced to animation filmmaking in 2011, she has co-directed several animated shorts in Burundi and Burkina Faso. Also trained in journalism, she worked at Burundi's national broadcaster from 2010–2016 and on FESTICAB's programming team. Now based in Switzerland, she sits on the committee of the Festival Cinémas d'Afrique de Lausanne and collaborates with Cineworx on film events while developing her own projects.
