SYNOPSIS
A chameleon lost in the desert; a father lost in the hums of a dialysis machine. The chameleon tries to survive in the hot sand; the father tries to survive while his blood is being replaced. The chameleon arrives at a water source; the father returns to his family. The water murmurs calmly; the father’s pain is camouflaged.

Biography
Zakaria Dinia is a Moroccan director and screenwriter whose cinematic approach focuses on intimate observation, trusting silence as much as dialogue. He has developed his craft through international programs, including the USC Middle East Media Initiative at the School of Cinematic Arts in LA, the CCM Short Film Writing Residency, and the Arab-African Series Lab by Nouvelles Écritures in France and Tunis. His work includes You Are Seen, screened at Internationale Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen and Rotterdam Arab Film Festival, and Echoes in Ephemeral Light, winner of the Best Moroccan Short Film award at Morocco Shorts International and selected for the Al Jazeera Short Film Competition.
