SYNOPSIS
On the first anniversary of the death of the family’s patriarch, a mother and daughter come together to mark the occasion, only for old wounds and unspoken grief to resurface, forcing both women to confront the weight of loss and everything left unsaid.

Biography
Michael Bonello Ghio is a Maltese writer-director making his short film debut with My Dearest Mother, co-written with Maltese actress Marama Corlett. The project was supported by Arts Council Malta and has since travelled widely on the international festival circuit, earning early honours including a Best Debut Short award, several LA Indie Short Fest prizes, and selection at genre festivals such as Screamfest.
