SYNOPSIS
“Crawling Birds” is a tragic art project following a community of humanoid birds living in a deep cave with constrained wings, conditioned to believe that flying is forbidden. When a young man discovers his wings’ potential, he escapes to explore the outside world and decides to return and share this truth. Combining photography, expressive dance, and elements of German Expressionism and Greek tragedy, the project is designed to exist both as a short film and a gallery photography exhibition.

Biography
Karim Tajouaout is a 33-year-old Moroccan filmmaker and photographic artist. With a background in applied arts, cinematography, and creative writing, he has written and directed four award-winning short films. His work blends highly sensitive photography with cinematic storytelling, focusing deeply on themes of humanity, time, and nature. Influenced by creators like Goya, Dostoevsky, and Camus, his artistic language bridges symbolism, philosophy, and free expression.
