Low Budget Film Program (LBFILMPROGRAM)
Launched by the Marrakech Short Film Festival, the LBFILMPROGRAM supports emerging Moroccan filmmakers through micro-budget funding, professional mentorship, and guaranteed festival visibility.
Now in its second year, the program empowers bold voices and raw storytelling with limited resources. Selected projects receive:

2025 LAUREATE

AYOUB BOUDADI
Ayoub Boudadi is a young Moroccan filmmaker and actor whose creative work is rooted in realism and social engagement. A graduate of IJMRT, Ayoub has developed a distinctive voice that blends poetic storytelling with urgent societal themes. He has participated in various cinematic initiatives as both a director and a performer. In 2024, Ayoub was selected as the recipient of the Low Budget Film Program (LBFILMPROGRAM), developed in partnership with NADACOME and the Marrakech Short Film Festival. Through this program, he is currently developing his short film Le Nid, a hard-hitting drama that explores sexual violence within marriage in rural Morocco. His work reflects a deep commitment to shedding light on silenced narratives and voicing the complexities of everyday life. Ayoub Boudadi represents a rising generation of Moroccan storytellers committed to authentic, fearless, and meaningful cinema.

LE NID
In a remote village, a woman suffers relentless domestic abuse at the hands of her mute husband, whose unchecked sexual addiction and refusal of contraception trap her in a cycle of pain and despair.

ELMEFTAHI ABDESSELAM
El Miftahi Abdesselam is a Moroccan media professional and producer. He graduated from the Islamic University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia with a degree in Arabic Literature and Linguistics, and later earned a postgraduate diploma in Print Journalism from the Higher Institute of Journalism in Rabat. El Miftahi has had a long and distinguished career in both Moroccan and Arab media, with a professional journey marked by numerous notable experiences. In recent years, he has shifted his focus toward cinema and television, establishing his own production company, NADACOME, based in Rabat. During his time in Madinah, El Miftahi immersed himself in an environment of knowledge and learning, and while studying there, he contributed articles to several Saudi newspapers, particularly Al-Madina

SAFAE LAMHAOUS
Safae Lamhaouas is a Moroccan filmmaker and first assistant director based in Marrakech, with a strong dedication to independent cinema and cultural empowerment. A graduate in film production management and cinematic writing, she has actively contributed to numerous productions and artistic initiatives that center social realities, women's voices, and underrepresented narratives in Moroccan society. Her work spans from short films and series development to festival collaborations and training programs, always aiming to create inclusive spaces for emerging talents. Passionate about meaningful storytelling and committed to her local community, Safae embodies a new generation of creative leaders — grounded, visionary, and devoted to shaping a more accessible and authentic cultural landscape.

RAMIA BELADEL
Ramia Beladel is a Moroccan visual artist, curator, and cultural organizer based in Marrakech. With a background in cultural curation and artistic direction, she is the founder and president of the Marrakech Short Film Festival (MARRAKECHsFF), a dynamic platform dedicated to celebrating and supporting short films from Morocco and around the world.Through her work, Ramia Beladel advocates for accessibility to cinema in public spaces, gender inclusion in the film industry, and meaningful collaborations with institutions across Europe, the MENA region, and beyond. Her curatorial vision is rooted in creating intimate, forward-thinking experiences that connect young talents with global film communities while nurturing a stronger ecosystem for short films in Morocco.

NADACOM
NADACOM is a Morocco-based audiovisual production company committed to creating meaningful, culturally relevant content across film, television, and digital platforms. With a strong emphasis on supporting emerging talent and socially engaged storytelling, NADACOM has established itself as a key player in Morocco’s creative industry. Founded by media and communication expert Abdessalam El Miftahi, the company draws on decades of experience in journalism, broadcasting, and production. NADACOM specializes in fiction and documentary production, with a particular focus on developing bold, independent projects that reflect the realities of Moroccan and regional society.
