IIP PROGRAM 2024

This program marks the inaugural step of the MARRAKECHsFF towards establishing a thriving market for the short film industry, setting the foundation for future editions of the festival.

The initiative will feature a dedicated showcase program highlighting international film organizations and collective initiatives aimed at promoting and advancing the short film industry. With the goal of fostering partnerships, the program seeks to ensure active representation from partner countries, facilitating exchanges with other platforms, particularly Moroccan ones. These exchanges will lay the groundwork for meaningful collaborations between Morocco and its international counterparts.

The program will unfold during the week of the festival, serving as a pivotal platform for networking, dialogue, and collaboration among global and local industry professionals.

ALFILM Arab Film Festival Berlin, organized by Zentrum für arabische Filmkunst und Kultur e.V. since 2009, is Germany’s premier platform for Arab cinema. Held in Berlin, it features high-quality films from the Arab world and fosters intercultural dialogue through screenings, discussions, and special events. Under Pascale Fakhry’s direction, the festival highlights diverse perspectives on cultural and social issues.

Since its creation, La Luna Productions has been dedicated its mission of seeking out new talent and accompanying directors and auteurs in their first cinematic steps. Its films are regularly selected at festivals including Cannes, Toronto, Seattle, and Dubai, and one was nominated for an Academy Award.

Founded in 2008 by the Polish Filmmakers Association, Munk Studio specializes in producing debut films from emerging directors. Focused on nurturing talent in art-house and creative cinema, the studio supports first-time filmmakers in creating features, shorts, and documentaries. Munk Studio’s award-winning films have earned international acclaim at festivals such as Sundance, Venice, and Cannes.

Tamayouz Foundation, founded in December 2018 by five Moroccan film professionals, aims to restore equity and boost women’s representation in Moroccan cinema. It focuses on providing young women with the support, training, and tools needed to build careers, especially in production roles, and enhance their visibility nationally and internationally. The foundation’s goal is to cultivate a new generation of women filmmakers and support their professional growth
